Kauai South Shore Snorkeling

When you look out upon the incredible blue ocean waters, you may wonder what beauties lie beneath the surface just waiting to be discovered. Snorkeling is your ticket to uncover the underwater mysteries of the south shore.

One of the islands safest beaches is Poipu Beach Park. It is home to some of the clearest waters in Hawaii, and encompasses both Poipu and Brennecke Beach. The far right side of the beach offers deeper more advanced snorkeling for the older, more adventurous snorkelers. There is also a sheltered cove which is perfect for children and beginner snorkelers.

Lawai Beach is a lovely white sand beach, which provides excellent snorkeling. During the summer you can visit the clear blue lagoon where sea turtles are often seen. Lawai Beach offers extremely clear and calm waters, which make for a much more enjoyable snorkeling experience.

Prince Kuhio Park is another spectacular snorkeling spot. The water is a bit deeper in some parts, but this just means more wildlife. Most everyone who snorkels here sees sea turtles, fish, and other aquatic life. If you are looking for solitude then Prince Kuhio Park is what you're looking for.

Snorkeling is definitely a must during your stay on Kauai. Its an activity that can be enjoyed by virtually everyone. No matter where you go it's a fun way to see a different side of "Garden Island".
